Waitangi Day – Market Place

Market Place returned for 2016 on Waitangi day.  It had been two months since our last market so I felt a little out of practice when I went to set up the Teacup and Saucer stall.  The stock that we take to each market is very much dependent on what we’ve been finding, though I do try to stick to “themes” or styles.  In general – I make sure we have a variety of furniture, homewares, decor and collectables.  My favourite style at the moment is a bit more retro/rustic/industrial – such as in the top photos.  I guess a bit more “male friendly” than the poodles, ballerinas and pink and gold that you can see in the bottom pics.

Of course, as well as getting our own stall together, I organise the market which involves overseeing the set up of the hall.  As well as our regulars we had some new stallholders join us which is always great to keep the market interesting.  I love the variety at Market Place – and this month was no exception.  Over the past two years Market Place as evolved, and grown and I’m so happy with it at the moment.  We’ve got a great group of people coming together to sell awesome vintage or locally made products.

If you missed out – make sure you put March 5th in your diary.  Market Place is on from 9-1pm on the first Saturday of every month.
